Heating, ventilation and air condition
Boiler
Heating of circulatory water (radiators)
Furnace
Heating of circulatory air
Gas Fitter
A person trained & licensed to install or service gas fired appliances
Humidifier
A device to add moisture to the air
Dehumidifier
A device to extract moisture from the air. An air conditioner is in fact a large dehumidifier
Mid - Efficiency
Approximately 80% efficiency rating
High - efficiency
Approximately 90% to 96% efficiency rating
BTU
Amount of energy required to raise 1 lb of water 1degree Fahrenheit
Tonnage
12,000 BTU equals 1 ton of cooling
Condensor
Outdoor part of air conditioning system
Evaporator Coil
Part of air conditioning system installed in furnace duct
EER
Energy efficiency rating. The higher the rating results in lower energy consumption
