Question 1

How do I know if I should repair or replace my system?

Accepted Answer

A good rule of thumb: if your system is more than 12–15 years old, needs a repair that costs a large share of a new unit, or has rising energy bills, replacement often pays off. Our licensed technicians give you an honest assessment and written options — repair and replace — so you can decide with no pressure.

Question 2

What heating and cooling brands do you install?

Accepted Answer

We install Carrier, Lennox, Napoleon and Trane most often, and we're all-makes HVAC specialists — our technicians diagnose and repair every major brand we didn't install, so you're covered no matter what equipment you have.

Question 3

How long does a new system installation take?

Accepted Answer

A standard furnace, heat-pump or AC changeout is usually completed in one day. Ductless mini-split installs are often a day as well. Larger projects — full system redesigns, new construction, or a HVAC with an electrical panel tie-in — take longer, and we'll give you a clear timeline in your written estimate before any work begins.

Question 4

Do you offer free estimates?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We provide free, no-pressure estimates on new system installations and replacements throughout Scarborough, Durham Region and the GTA. Call (416) 283-5698 or request service online and we'll schedule a visit.

Question 5

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We're based in Scarborough and serve Durham Region and the GTA — including Markham, North York, Toronto, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Bowmanville, Courtice, Clarington, Uxbridge and surrounding communities

Question 6

What are your hours?

Accepted Answer

Our office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Weekends are closed. For any HVAC need — including no-heat and no-AC — call (416) 283-5698 or request service online and we'll get back to you as soon as we open.

Question 7

Do you work with property managers and businesses?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We regularly serve residential, commercial, property-management and multi-family / HOA clients across Scarborough, Durham & the GTA, including scheduled maintenance agreements and multi-unit installations.

Question 8

Why is regular maintenance worth it?

Accepted Answer

Our humid summers and hard winters put real strain on equipment. A maintenance plan keeps your system clean, efficient and under warranty, catches small problems before they become expensive failures, and gives you priority scheduling when the weather turns.

Question 9

Do you offer financing?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we offer financing options so you can move forward on a new system or major repair without paying everything up front. We also help you take advantage of available rebates and offer military and senior discounts. Ask about current plans when you request your estimate.

Question 10

Are you licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Metroheat is fully licensed and insured, BBB-accredited, and has served Scarborough, Durham & the GTA since 1979. We're committed to honest, professional work and clear written estimates on every job.
